Ingredients for Matcha Nougat:

Butter 50g
Milk powder 140g
Peanut 30g
Matcha powder 10g
Marshmallows 300g

 

Step:

1.Place the chopped butter into a saucepan and heat it slowly over low heat until completely melted. Meanwhile, take out the marshmallows from their packaging and cut them into small pieces using clean scissors for easier handling. Once the butter is fully melted, gradually add the prepared marshmallow pieces into the saucepan, stirring gently with a large spoon to ensure they mix well with the butter. During the stirring process, the marshmallows will become soft and smooth, presenting a light yellow shine.

2.Add high-quality powdered milk, which will give the marshmallows a lighter shade. Then, delicately sprinkle matcha powder into the saucepan, instantly releasing a subtle tea fragrance. Use a silicone spatula to thoroughly mix the powdered milk, matcha powder, and marshmallows until they are fully blended, forming a smooth and even green mixture. At this point, pour in the roasted and peeled peanuts, and gently stir them with the spatula. The peanuts will start to soften under the mixture’s temperature, emanating an enticing aroma. Ensure all the ingredients are well incorporated, so that each peanut is surrounded by the marshmallow and matcha powdered milk mixture.

3.Once the mixture is evenly mixed, you can pour it into a large square baking pan and use a scraper to shape the mixture into a flat shape. Allow the mixture to cool and solidify completely before cutting it into your desired sizes. Each piece of matcha nougat encapsulates the crunchiness of peanuts, the softness of marshmallows, and the fragrant taste of matcha. Tips:

1.Ensure that the marshmallows are added to the melted butter only after it is completely melted, using medium-low heat.

2.After pouring the mixture into the mold, line it with parchment paper and use a rolling pin to flatten the surface. Once thoroughly cooled, remove from the mold.
