Ingredients for Northeast Mixed Vegetables

Cucumber one
Lettuce 250g
Bitter chrysanthemum 200g
Purple cabbage one
Cherry Tomatoes 200g
Mixed fruit jam A bottle
Apple vinegar 6g
Soy sauce 3g
Salt 4g

Steps:

1.Today, I want to share with you how to make a delicious mixed vegetables dish. First, we need to prepare the necessary ingredients. One cucumber, a bunch of large lettuce leaves. Then, prepare some bitter chrysanthemum and purple cabbage, as well as red and yellow cherry tomatoes for color. You can also use tomatoes instead. Let’s also prepare a bottle of mixed fruit jam.

2.Then, let’s prepare these vegetables. First, flatten the cucumber and then cut it into large pieces. Next, cut the endives into bitter chrysanthemum. Cut the cherry tomatoes in half, and tear the purple cabbage into small pieces, discarding the thick stems in the middle. Finally, tear the lettuce leaves into small pieces. Put all of them into a bowl and set aside.

3.Next, let’s make the sauce. Take a little bit of the mixed fruit jam and put it in a small bowl. Many people eat this dish outside, and the sauce is often sticky and has a strong jam flavor, which is because they use the wrong kind of jam. The preferred choice is plum jam with ice flowers, followed by this mixed fruit jam. Do not use pure fruit jam, as it doesn’t have the right taste. Then, pour some apple  vinegar into the bowl. This apple cider vinegar has a refreshing sour taste and a fruity aroma. Finally, add a little soy sauce and a pinch of salt to the bowl. This will create a base flavor for the dish.

4.After stirring the sauce evenly with chopsticks, pour it into the bowl of prepared vegetables and mix thoroughly. When making this dish, never use your hands to squeeze it, as it will become watery and look like leftovers. Once well mixed, you can plate the dish. Sprinkle some fried peanuts on top for added fragrance and a refreshing, appetizing flavor. Your delicious mixed vegetables dish is now ready to serve.

Tips

1.When mixing the ingredients, be gentle to avoid over-mixing and affecting the texture.
2.If you want the mixed vegetables to have a more vibrant color, you can add some red chili peppers or tomatoes to the ingredients.
