When you bite into the almond croissant, a warm fragrance permeates, as if washing your taste buds with a gentle sun-like warmth. The crispy outer crust gradually unfolds, revealing a dense and smooth interior, much like the myriad experiences and emotions in life.

Ingredients of almond croissant:

Butter 150g
Sugar 75g
Almond 50g
Egg 50g
Baking powder 45g
Low-gluten flour 150g

Step:

1.In a clean bowl, pour an appropriate amount of butter and take out the granulated sugar, preparing to create a delicious dessert. Start the electric mixer and watch as the butter and sugar interweave and rotate under its power. The blades of the mixer dance in the bowl, slowly melting the sugar as it beats, until the butter and sugar blend completely, presenting a silky texture. Watch as they transform from a liquid state to a creamy consistency, delicate and rich.

2.In that clean bowl, which already contains the melted butter and sugar, now add the beaten eggs, cake flour, and baking powder one by one into the butter-sugar mixture. Each ingredient brings new flavors and changes to this blend. During the whipping process, you can feel the texture and taste of the ingredients gradually merging, creating a unique flavor and mouthfeel.

3.Take out a rolling pin and place the previously whipped mixture in the center of the cutting board, gently rolling it out. Once rolled into a thin pancake, you can start using the molds. Molds are key tools for shaping desserts, transforming ordinary dough into various interesting shapes. In this process, you can choose a heart-shaped mold, pressing it onto the pancake, gently applying pressure until a heart-shaped pancake is formed.

4.Next, brush on some beaten egg and sprinkle almonds as decoration. Dip a brush into the beaten egg and evenly spread it over the surface of the heart-shaped pancake. After spreading the egg, you can begin placing the almonds. Take the prepared almonds and evenly distribute them over the pancake’s surface that has been coated with egg. Watching the almonds neatly arranged on the pancake’s surface, resembling golden leaves, adds a unique flavor and aesthetic to this dessert.

5.Next, preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius and place the heart-shaped pancakes inside, baking for 13 minutes. In the oven, the heart-shaped pancakes slowly turn golden under high temperature, and the aroma of almonds gradually fills the air. During the baking process, you can observe the surface of the heart-shaped pancake gradually turning golden brown and emitting an enticing fragrance. After 13 minutes, the heart-shaped pancakes are ready. Remove them from the oven, place them on a plate, wait for a moment to let them cool, and then they are ready to be enjoyed.

Tips:

1.The process of preheating the oven is a crucial step in baking as it allows the oven to reach the proper temperature for even heating during the baking process.

2.Adding baking powder during the preparation can enhance the crispiness of the texture.

Every bite of almond pastry is an exploration, offering not only a sensory delight but also a contemplation of life values such as love, friendship, and more. It evokes memories of carefree childhood days while igniting anticipation for the future.
